Terms of Service

Ratebee is a business, service and product review platform operated by Valikvali Software OÜ (Estonian registry code 14245550, VAT EE101977333), registered in Estonia (EU). By using ratebee.app or the Ratebee browser extension (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Ratebee

You must be at least 16 years old. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google or an email magic link. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page.

3. Reviews and content you post

You keep ownership of the ratings, comments and other content you post (“Your Content”). By posting it you grant Ratebee a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate and distribute it as part of operating and promoting the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that:

• it reflects your own genuine, first-hand experience of the business or product;
• it is not fake, paid-for, or written in exchange for an undisclosed incentive — fake and misleading reviews are prohibited and unlawful in the EU;
• it is honest and not defamatory, and does not knowingly state false facts about a business;
• it is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, infringing, or spam;
• you have the rights to post it.

4. How we keep reviews honest

Reviews carry more weight when other users find them useful: a reviewer’s influence (their “Trust”) grows only from likes their reviews receive from others. Our engagement points (“Beecoins”) reward participation — placing a rating, writing a comment, daily activity — and are never tied to whether a review is positive or negative. Beecoins are a virtual in-product score with no monetary value and may be adjusted to prevent abuse.

5. Reporting content, moderation and business disputes

Ratebee is a hosting platform for user-generated reviews. We do not write reviews, do not pre-check every submission, and have no general obligation to monitor content — but we act on valid reports and remove content that is unlawful or breaches these Terms.

Reporting (notice and action). If you believe a review or comment is fake, unlawful, defamatory, infringing or otherwise in breach of these Terms — for example if you are the business concerned — report it via the feedback form or by email to info@ratebee.app, telling us what the content is, where it appears, and why. We review well-founded notices promptly and may remove, restrict or reinstate content; we remove content once we become aware that it is manifestly illegal.

Business profiles. Business profiles are informational. A business can claim its profile (verified via a domain email) to respond to reviews and add an owner note. You do not need to claim a profile to dispute a specific review — use the reporting process above.

We may also review, moderate, hold or remove content proactively, including with automated checks (see the Privacy Policy). We balance acting on reports against protecting legitimate opinions and lawful criticism.

6. External ratings

Where shown, aggregate ratings from third parties (e.g. Google, Tripadvisor, Booking) are displayed separately from the Ratebee score and belong to those providers; we do not guarantee their accuracy.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no automated scraping or abuse, no attempts to manipulate ratings or farm Beecoins, no impersonation, and no interfering with the Service’s security or operation.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its name, design and software are owned by Valikvali Software OÜ or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

9. Disclaimers

Reviews, ratings and comments are the personal opinions and statements of their authors, not of Ratebee. Ratebee is a neutral host: we do not endorse, verify or adopt individual reviews, and the Ratebee score is an automatically calculated aggregate, not our own assessment of a business. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties to the extent permitted by law.

10. Liability

Your Content is your responsibility, and reviews are the responsibility of their authors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ratebee is not liable for user-generated content, nor for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory EU or Estonian law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Estonian law, and disputes fall under the competent courts of Estonia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; we will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
